Artweek Auckland kicks off today, with a fabulous creative line-up that’s sure to keep you busy if you’re looking for things to do. Art exhibitions, installations, activities and events will all be taking place throughout the city. Whether you love being immersed in art galleries, appreciating street art, want to enjoy a sit-down performance or would love to take an art walking tour, there’s something for the entire family to enjoy.
We’ve put together our top 5 free events taking place over the week that you won’t want to miss!
Designed by second-year Unitec architecture students, Glow@Artweek features a collection of light displays. The outdoor exhibition will pop up on Devonport’s Windsor Reserve, making it a great opportunity for an evening stroll that allows you to become fully immersed. All of the sculptures follow the brief of being zero waste and zero budget and are all sponsored by Vector. If you’re a fan of the lantern festival each year, we’re sure you’ll love this one!
