For those wanting to cut down on booze after the holidays but still celebrate the beautiful NZ summer, here are a selection of delicious mocktails to suit any Summer occasion.
● 25ml lychee syrup ● 15ml lime juice ● 30ml apple juice ● 1 tsp SodaStream Grapefruit Fruit Drops ● SodaStream sparkling water
The perfect aperitif for a family get-together, or a great option at a baby shower, this mocktail is refreshing, clean and guaranteed to satisfy any audience. This one is easy and great to make in big batches for parties, just times the ingredients list by 10.
Pour all of the ingredients apart from the SodaStream sparkling water into a Champagne flute.
Top with SodaStream sparkling water and lightly stir.
Garnish with Star Fruit, or other citrus fruit.
One, Two, Tea
● 6 Earl Grey tea bags (or any tea of your choice) ● 2 cinnamon sticks ● 2 stripes of orange zest ● 1 star anise ● 1 halved vanilla bean ● 15ml lemon juice ● 15ml pure maple syrup ● SodaStream sparkling water ● Mint leaves ● 1 lemon
Looking for a refreshing afternoon pick me up, look no further than this zesty iced tea. It takes a little bit of effort for a whole lot of reward! This one is easy and great to make in big batches, just times the ingredients list by 10 and store in the fridge.
In a saucepan, bring a pan of water to the boil. Lower the heat and add the tea bags, cinnamon sticks, orange zest, star anise and vanilla bean.
Allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove tea bags and allow the remaining mixture (concentrated tea) to cool.
Strain the remaining concentrated tea and store it in the fridge.
Pour the concentrated tea, lemon juice and pure maple syrup into a glass filled with ice.
Top with SodaStream sparkling water and stir gently.
Garnish with a mint leaf and slice of lemon.
● Small handful of fresh tarragon leaves ● 10 blueberries ● 15ml pure maple syrup ● 20ml lime juice ● SodaStream sparkling water
This mocktail is a great healthy alternative to traditional energy drinks, providing a natural source of simple carbohydrates that convert to glucose and act as fuel during exercise from the pure maple syrup. Times the ingredients by 10 to make a bulk batch for the whole family.
In a shaker, add all of the ingredients apart from SodaStream sparkling water.
Add some ice and half a cup of water and shake vigorously.
Strain mixture into a glass and top with SodaStream sparkling water.
