Dreams can surprise you

Dreams can surprise you

“Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives,” – Charles Dement

Your dreams are there in front of you every night, enabling you to reach beyond what you know and even understand.

When you start to see your dreams as your own personal coach helping you through the journey in life, your dreams will pleasantly surprise you with the solutions they deliver you.

In the early 70s a little known business, selling product from out of the back of a van, decided to go through a rebranding exercise. Directly due to a dream a sales employee had, the two owners changed the name of their business from Blue Ribbon Sports to the name Nike. The name meaning Victory came from the dream.

We can be blind to a lot happening in our lives and can easily become dull to what is really going on. Dreams are there for us helping us daily with decisions. Sometimes it is tricky to see the whole situation clearly because you’re looking too closely at small details.

One day an air traffic controller in Christchurch was informed that he would most likely never work again due to a devastating infection. Garth Murray’s life was turned upside down, now unemployable, financially in crisis, and his families future in jeopardy. Garth had three dreams which gave him the blueprints to start a business in a field he knew little about. It seemed ridiculous. That was back in 2002 and Theophany Loudspeakers is now a New Zealand award winning successful business that has continued to see amazing business growth and has brought success to the Murray family.

Dreaming is essential for your well being and scientific research has proven that dreaming keeps you mentally healthy. We were born to dream. Don’t panic if you think you are not dreaming. It is more likely that you will not be remembering your dreams and you do dream up to 6 times each night.

Next time you awaken from a dream, even at 3am in the morning, remember to write it down. It will be well worth it. Happy Dreaming. . .
