Some of Auckland’s most stunning homes will open their doors for a great cause in early November, with top Auckland chefs serving up signature dishes within their kitchens.
The sixth annual Festive Home Tour 2015 on Friday 6 November will see ten inspiring homes across Auckland’s Eastern suburbs roll out the welcome mat, giving ticket holders access to the best in Auckland architecture, interiors and food.
Each home will be professionally styled, with delicious finger food created onsite by chefs from leading Auckland eateries Woodpecker Hill, Masu, Mexico, Ponsonby Road Bistro, Burger Burger, Jess’s Underground Kitchen and more.
And with $250,000 raised to date, all proceeds will go to World Child Cancer’s Pacific chapter to help improve child cancer treatment and survival rates among children in the Pacific Islands.
Says Woodpecker Hill head chef Stu Marsden: “Creating a friendly welcome with delicious food is meaningful work for us, but occasionally we like to go that one step further. Helping out with the Festive Home Tour allows us to be a small but tasty part of the bigger picture in the fight against cancer.”
This year’s tour covers a broad range of architecture, and opportunities to visit homes that are colourful and creative, modern and minimal, timeless and elegant — with the Christmas theme brought to life by a team of stylists and celebrity chefs delivering delicious food, the 2015 Festive Home Tour is shaping up to be the best and biggest yet.
The Festive Home Tour takes place on Friday 6 November, day session 10am–4pm, evening session 4–8pm. Tickets cost $65 per person for day and $55 for evening, available from Ticketek.co.nz.
