Short Beauty Regimes for Long Term Benefits

Looking and feeling rejuvenated is difficult, especially with so many factors built into our everyday lives, mostly being our busy lifestyle, working too hard, very little sleep, a growing family, and not taking time to eat or exercise as we should.  The stresses and concerns that we face daily distract and leave us putting ourselves last on the list of things ‘to look after’, with the potted plants on the patio taking often priority over ourselves.  All too often we do feature at the bottom of list, if at all!  It should not then come as a surprise that yes, we need to spend some more time looking after ourselves and making ourselves as a priority.

Here are some simple beauty routines that we can all incorporate into our lives without jeopardising our busy routines.

Drink 2-3 cups of green tea every day.  This is great for you skin and contains antioxidants and inflammatory agents, as well as many other beneficial qualities.

Place a cotton cloth with flower water, or another essence, on a makeup-free face for up to 10 minutes, twice a week. This helps give the skin a great glow and restore moisture.

Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells, but also helps create circulation and restore natural collagen.  Mix two parts of rice flour or sea salt with one part whipped cream and apply to neck and face for up to 15 minutes, it’s a wonderful and effective exfoliating paste. Rub in and rinse with warm water.  This can be done 1-2 times
a week.

Let’s not forget our hair!  Camellia oil is infused with proteins and oleic acids which help to keep your hair shiny and strong.  A small quantity of warm camellia oil on the hair for approximately 20 minutes before washing will give your hair a brand new lustre.  You can do this as often as you prefer, your hair will thank you for it!
