At last, a specialty butcher with a recognition as a purveyor of fine meats that locals are fortunate to have on their doorstep.
There was a time when only the privileged could afford the luxury of serving the best beef on the table, after all what more can you say about a food that forms a vital part of our daily diets. Aside from its other inherent qualities of taste, texture and protein, beef is still prized among connoisseurs and gourmets for its versatility of cuts, leading to numerous and diverse methods of cooking.
Established in 2024 Maple and Marble Butchery is a family-owned business founded by Ben, Annabell, Seamus Barden, Barney Cook, and Scotty Cochrane. It’s a true showcase of Kiwi ingenuity, world-class farming and sustainable thinking. Specialising in an extensive range of meat cuts far too numerous to mention, you only have to observe their refrigerator displays to appreciate all of the varieties available from which to choose.
Maple and Marble’s meats are all sourced from Speckle Park, a family-owned farm nestled in Central Otago that has been in the same family for over 100 years and where tradition meets innovation to create beef of extraordinary character and quality while promoting animal health and the best genetics.

All the meat cuts are trimmed and kitchen ready with every kilo sold over the counter being export quality, including an assortment of handmade gourmet sausages that are a masterpiece of texture, balance and flavour.
Under the adage of value for money, supported with friendly customer service, it’s no wonder this newcomer continues to absolutely thrive.
