Design Warehouse’s new 2,600sqm² purpose-built showroom in Auckland sets a new benchmark for furniture retail in New Zealand.
Designed by award- winning architect Jack McKinney, the showroom combines striking industrial design with a refined customer experience. High ceilings and Design Warehouses signature corten steel detailing create an impressive architectural backdrop, reflecting both strength and sophistication while highlighting the breadth and quality of the collections.
One of the showroom’s most notable features is a series of floor-to-ceiling floating chair walls, showcasing the depth and variety of the brand’s seating range. This innovative display is complemented by a mix of curated lifestyle room sets, carefully designed to inspire customers and encourage exploration throughout the space. Overhead, suspended rafts filled with greenery and an abundance of plants soften the industrial aesthetic, bringing the outdoors in.
At the heart of the showroom is the launch of Design Warehouse’s latest outdoor ranges, taking pride of place alongside its core collections and a select offering of indoor pieces, while the Design Italia indoor furniture lines are located on the mezzanine level.

The coffee bar located on the mezzanine provides customers with a place to pause and enjoy a refreshment while browsing the collections or consulting with staff on design choices. This considered detail reinforces the showroom as both a destination and a hub for inspiration.
With its scale, architectural detail, and immersive presentation, the new showroom delivers a distinctive retail destination that invites discovery and elevates the way customers experience furniture in New Zealand.
