Coriander Chutney

This Coriander Chutney is a versatile dip that is so tasty for lovers of coriander. It is mildly spicy and tangy. Great with many of the recipes from the starters and appetisers section of this book.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh coriander

  • 1 small green apple, chopped 1 medium sized green chilli

  • 1 clove garlic, peeled

  • 1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Makes 1 cup.
Preparation time: 10 minutes

  1. In a blender, add coriander, apple, chilli, garlic, peanuts, lemon juice and salt.
  2. Blend ingredients together for 1-2 minutes or until a paste like consistency.
  3. Serve as a condiment with mains or appetisers. Keep refrigerated for 1-2 weeks.
