Positano sits on the Amalfi Coast, neatly between Sorrento and Amalfi. Notwithstanding a dark period of pirate raids, Saracen sacking and Pisa pillaging, the continuous sunshine and wonderful scenery has attracted artists and poets along with the rich and famous since Roman times.
