For more than three generations, Kovacs has been designing and making furniture right here in Aotearoa.
What began in 1959 with Stephen and Maria Kovacs has grown into a proudly New Zealand-made furniture brand, still family owned and deeply connected to the people and processes behind every piece. From their Christchurch factory, furniture is constructed and upholstered by a team of skilled craftspeople, with a strong emphasis on quality, longevity and thoughtful design.
There is something so special about knowing where your furniture comes from. It is the hands that make it, the materials chosen, the details refined and the time taken to get things right. For Kovacs, sustainability is part of that approach. They believe in making quality furniture that is built to last, rather than made to be replaced.
