Working to create social and environmental change within the fashion industry, Duffle&Co was established in 2015 when founder Danny met several families in India and Indonesia who all had the same story. Having lost their jobs working for fast fashion brands due to the trade shift to China, these families found themselves uneducated, unemployed, and unable to make ends meet.

Determined to give these talented craftsmen a fighting chance to support themselves Danny bought 100 duffle bags from a family he’d met, and sent them back to his home in Auckland, New Zealand.

With some good old fashioned Kiwi ingenuity, Duffle&Co was born and is today run from New Zealand by Danny and his partner, creative director and designer Emily, who works alongside their 2 family-run workshops in India and Bali.

Duffle&Co’s ‘Made From Plants’ collection includes The Brittany Backpack ($379), The Harriet Tote ($379), The Clara Crossbody ($299) and The Greta Crossbody ($279). All are made from Jet Black Piatex Performance, giving each bag a pebbled leather appearance with a water-resistant finish (great if you accidentally spill a glass of wine!).

Each piece is made by implementing age-old artisanship techniques at the same time empowering the small groups of talented craftsmen with whom Emily and Danny, have established such deep personal connections.
