Organic Riot

Not only a skincare brand but an "honest movement"

“Just as the difference between good chocolate and great chocolate is found in the quality of the cocoa beans, the difference between good skincare and exceptional skincare lies in the purity of ingredients.”

In a cosmetic world full of greenwashing and empty promises that we know all too well, Organic Riot is a skincare brand that is quickly (as in 650+ reviews in the space of a year quickly) paving the way for the next generation of beauty brands, and after just 3 months of launching, was mentioned in well renowned publications such as Vogue, Tatler, Elle, GQ and more. Proudly 100% manufactured in New Zealand, Organic Riot is not only a skincare brand but an “honest movement.”

Organic Riot as a whole focuses on the transparency of their products, so their consumers can know exactly where their ingredients came from and their benefits. Winning Sustainability Icon of the Year during the 2020 Vogue Beauty Awards, Organic Riot’s philosophy in being an Organic Certified brand, of course, extends into their supply chain, sourcing their ingredients from Bio-Grow Organic Certified manufacturers to Bio-Grow Organic certified suppliers. Places such as the rainforests in South America, to the farms located next to the Himalayas in India, to a little closer to home in the Marlborough wine region are a few of many different places in the world where the ingredients are derived.

Their ‘Dazzle Anti Pigmentaiton Serum’ in particular is one to talk about. This serum is formulated with Liquorice Root Extract from the foothills of the Himalayas to help solve things such as pimple scars and pigmentation, as well as having an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Another mention-worthy ingredient is the Kiwi Seed Oil, which is sourced right here in New Zealand, and works to undo and prevent discolouration in a safe and gentle manner without using hormone disruptors that are present in generic anti-pigmentation serums. Although powerful and potent, it hones in on the natural, organic and food-safe certified ingredients used to create this serum, delivering a gentle application without compromising the results; and for my sensitive skin readers, it is clinically certified to be hypoallergenic and suitable for all skin types.

Founder Siddarth Somaiya says, “just as the difference between good chocolate and great chocolate is found in the quality of the cocoa beans, the difference between good skincare and exceptional skincare lies in the purity of ingredients” What are you waiting for?
