True Lyft

Since the time it was launched at Clinic 42 way back in September 2018, True Lyft remains one of their most sought after treatments.

First developed by accomplished Taiwanese plastic surgeon Peter Huang, it is often described as the ultimate technique to help refresh and rejuvenate those showing early to moderate signs of ageing.

The technique itself uses 2ml of a specific type of hyaluronic acid dermal filler strategically placed at specific anatomical locations on the face. The landmarks for treatment correspond to five ‘true’ ligaments of the face, which support the facial soft tissues from their deep attachment onto bone.

As you can see in the photo above the results include:

  • Beautifully elevated eyebrows
  • Restructured and pleasing contour to cheekbone
  • Redefined cheeks
  • Softening of the creases at the side of the nose
  • Lifting at corner of the mouth
  • Redefined structure of the jawline

These areas are all prone to the effects of ageing with gravity and the loss of facial soft tissue, resulting in an unfortunate descent. This in turn creates a squaring off effect as we begin to become heavier through the jaw and lower face, eventually developing jowls.

True Lyft helps by providing support and scaffolding to these key ligaments at a deeper layer, in a sense propping them back up to where they should be and in turn realigning and elevating the overlying soft tissue envelope. The dermal filler equivalent to the age-old trick of standing in front of the mirror and pulling your face back and up to see what you used to look like!

It can be a very useful technique in patients with early to moderate signs of ageing and is ideal as a first step for patients starting out in cosmetic treatments. By addressing the realignment of the structure and repositioning the soft tissue you are then able to pinpoint exactly where and if there are areas of volume loss that need addressing. Avoiding the over filled look that was common back in the early 2000s.

Treatment time is only an hour and can be done in a lunch-break. Downtime is minimal with some people experiencing tenderness at the injection sites for approximately 24 hours and the result is instant, but subtle enough to leave others guessing how you look so rejuvenated. Cost of the True Lyft Treatment is $1,200.
